X-treme hair, yard sale deals, and other tales

First, the X-treme hair. Remember Mom's big adventure parting Amanda's 2+ foot hair? Well, Mom decided to have a little fun with it for Friday's hair do:

After Mom dropped Amanda off at school, she and the other Muffins went cruising a little. We found a yard sale. Behold, our spoils, which cost $2, total. (And yes, the Easy Bake Oven works; you can read about it on Amanda's blog.)

When Mom got back from tending to some basement matters, she found Jared, milk, and lots of cups of milk. His comment: "Mommy! I learned to pour milk!"
It's only fair to point out that he used his new skill to help his baby sister. She kept dropping the cups into her chair by accident, so he kept filling more. Mom fished them all out for the photo.

On to our developing story. Observe Lydia sitting by the entertainment center. This would not be such a story, if Mom hadn't set her down some 3 or more feet from that location. Crawling, you ask? Nope. She sit-scoots from place to place. We have to put her on her tummy to make her practice crawling skills, since she's pretty good at the sit-scoot.
