Summer 2011 at the library

We love our library. True, we usually only see about half of it, since the main section is patrolled by grumpy librarians. However, the kids' section and the movie section (with happier librarians) on the other side more than make up for it (especially since you can request books from the Other side online and then make the grumpy librarians bring them to you).

Here we have Jared and Lydia, playing happily in the children's section:

Meanwhile, big sister Amanda was busy gathering books for the summer reading program. That pink bag she's holding? Full, as in VERY full of books by the time she got done. Most of which she read that night. She easily completed the basics of the summer reading program (15 hrs of reading) within a week.

The kids' section has several attractions, but this last shot captures some that have been very special to us: the little kitchen, the little shopping cart, and the comfy chair in which Mom has often sat watching the Muffins play with the aforementioned items (when she wasn't busy chasing down whichever Muffin was making a ruckus with the shopping cart).
