Sometime around the date on this post, Mom's beloved red laptop, the founder of the blogging era, met with an untimely death at the hands of a Muffin with a water cup. So much for the pictures on it that I really did mean to post. Thank goodness for the ones that were already posted!
Since the red computer was under a nice big warranty, we were hopeful that it could be fixed and glad to know that it would fit our budget, whatever the cost. The store, however, decided that they would do better by salvaging dear red for scrap and giving to us instead another salvaged computer. Through the interim, old Mac served Mom well, but Mom found it harder to deal with photos having gotten overly spoiled by the proportional photo cropping offered by Windows Live Photo gallery.
The new computer arrived, blue this time; too bad the red and blue computers didn't overlap each other so we could have made a patriotic display for the 4th of July. And now, Mom is going to try catching up a bit on all that time between the death of red and now.

Tales from the Everyday: Shopping
One of the more interesting aspects of multiple small children is coordinating things like shopping. How do you get the kids from the parking lot to the store safely? How do you keep them from destroying the store? How do you get them and whatever you buy back home again in one piece? So many logistical considerations. My solution is usually to go in with a full cart. Aren't they cute? Jared loves umbrellas, and this particular shopping outing turned out very cutely with Jared and Amanda looking like they could be on a gondola instead of in a shopping cart.
