It's official: Amanda has completed Kindergarten. And yes, she passed. (More than passed, actually, but that's a story for her blog.) The school had a big pool party for the last day. The picture above is from just before school, and these two below show her when she got home, escorted by Corinne, a kindergartner in the other afternoon class, as well as Corinne's mom and her baby sister. Corrine and Amanda were in the same preschool class way back when in 2007-2008, and they had lots of fun coming home together this year.
Fish update: We now have just one fish again, after having another fishy funeral for poor Bi-spot (III) earlier this week. The surviving fish, Coal, continues to extend his run as our longest living pet fish.
Curtis has been practicing his jumping and can now leave the ground for brief periods of time at will. Lydia rolled over from her back to her tummy and was actually happier to be on her tummy than she'd been on her back. She's starting to get up on her knees a little, too. Watch out, world, another mobile Muffin is coming! Jared, meanwhile, has been learning to recognize capital letters and has fun pointing out things like the "G" in Google or the "J" in Jello.
As for the Muffin parents, Dad spends his days at work, thus making possible Mom's time playing with Muffins and photographing plants, such as our strawberry plant here. Notice that it now has actual strawberries! Yay!
