Our little superheroes
And, who do we have here? Why, Super Jared, of course, complete with a cape he decorated himself. To what do we owe the privilege of having so many superheroes in our midst?
Why, it's a birthday party! The mother of the birthday boy is in this picture of the party, but I'm afraid I didn't get a picture of the birthday boy himself, what with keeping my little band of heroes in sight and all.
This picture shows at least part of all three of our children. Can you find them all?
And yes, last but not least, we have one of my very favorite superheroes, Super Curtis. Not much of a face shot, I know, but you know how super heroes are. Besides, I got his cape, and he has such a cute little back of the head. :)

Super Saturday
Super Saturday, that grand day when all the kids were happy because there were so very many things to do and places to go. First stop: Amanda's first day of soccer. Some moms we know who had already organized a little group invited her to come, and we're very glad they did. She loved it! She loved the jersey:
Mommy, we forgot to give the shirt back. You mean we get to keep it forever? Wow! I love it!
She also liked scoring:
I scored two points for my team, and one for the other team.

And, of course, she liked the popsicles when it was over. Jared kept busy while she was playing soccer, and he liked the popsicles, too.

After the soccer game, we stopped at a store for a few things, and then by home to pick up Dad, since it was time for a pool party! Amanda had a new swimsuit for the occasion, as well as new arm floaties, but she was still a bit hesitant about getting in at first. She enjoyed it soon enough.

Jared loved being in the pool with either Mom or Dad, and he loved his new floaty, too.

Curtis, meanwhile, observed the proceedings from a secure location near the pool.

After the pool party, it was time for a birthday party! Here's the birthday girl figuring out the dolly carrier she got with some help from her big brother.

Amanda & Jared enjoyed playing with the balloons. The picture above has Amanda looking at a balloon somewhere, while the picture below is proof that I actually do Amanda's hair occasionally. ;)

Yep, Jared spent most of his time with the balloons. Curtis enjoyed the party, too.

All in all, it was a great day, and it didn't hurt any that both lunch and dinner were provided through the events (okay, I admit it, I'm a mom looking for a volunteer chef...takers anyone? :) Thanks so much to all our friends who made Super Saturday possible. :)

Where'd that baby go?
Ah, yes, here's our sweet baby in a stroller. Um, why is he wearing pink? Oh, wait, that's not Curtis, that's Amanda! Yes indeed, once upon a time we had a little girl baby. All right, I've located a picture of the correct baby, as in the current model, and added it below. Meanwhile, in case you're wondering what happened to the first baby, don't worry, she's still around, as you can see in the third picture where some four years later she can now push the stroller herself, with Curtis in it. As for the last picture, well, let's just say at this point it's a big deal to get a decent face shot of Jared, given his determination to look anywhere but at the camera. Besides, it just wouldn't be a complete post without him. :)

An outing in the park
When one has four children in tow aged four and under, one is likely to consider an outing to the park as a monumental event. Or at least that's the way Mom felt about it when she actually got out the door to the park outing only an hour after it started. :) There were still plenty of friends there when we arrived, though, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it.
