Girls' Night at the Mall

Mom and Amanda actually had more than one evening at a mall during our Seattle time, but one trip was especially memorable, because we went to the mall with an American Girl store. Here's Amanda just before we went in:

Our timing was perfect, because the store was hosting a scavenger hunt that featured a free poster as a prize. Being in the store was pretty much like being in a 3D version of the catalog or website, complete with matching price tags. Consequently, we felt rather victorious leaving the store with a legally free souvenir.

On our way out of the mall, we did some browsing at the Disney Store and the Lego Store, just for fun. We found this Space Needle model at the Lego Store, which interestingly enough cost about the same as an adult ticket to ride the elevator up the real thing. Why ride when you can own?

You may have noticed Amanda is missing a few teeth. So far she's lost three this summer. Until some replacements get in, she ironically has fewer teeth than her little sister does. Quite a change from a couple of years ago when Lydia had no teeth at all.
